You could be a d–k and say this is derivative of the Rolling Stones circa 1968-1972 and therefore worthless. Or you could say that if you’re going to be derivative, this has the be absolute coolest f–king era of the coolest f–king band you could rip off. Life is too short to be artistically pure. Boogie down or die.
As you know, I’m still catching up on great music made since the time my kids were born and I went into new music hibernation. This immensely cool song is a raw, nasty, lo-fi rocker by Primal Scream. From the 2006 album, “Riot City Blues.”
John Lennon in primal scream mode, delivering punk blues from hell. A pulverising song that was put to great use in Martin Scorsese’s 2006 “The Departed.”
