“Walk on By” – Isaac Hayes

In memory of my pimpstrumental 1999 Town Car I just traded in for a 2013 Ford Fusion, I’m pouring some $5 Rex Goliath Pinot Noir on the ground in memoriam and dedicating this classic cover of Dionne Warwick’s already monumental “Walk on By” to my old wheels.

  1. Hey Dave, you have hardly been around these parts recently. I hope you are driving your new wheels on the Pacific Coast with the Replacements at top volume. Keep the posts coming mate. We all need some random weirdness in our lives.. Speaking of which, here’s a contribution.

I recently registered with http://www.rocktownhall.com a blog for music (and more) discussion. They are big on the powerpop (too much Cheap Trick for my liking) but I have been interested enough to join in. You may find it of interest.
    Peace Mal

  2. Thank you very much. And thanks for the Viv Stanshall clip. That’s a part of subcultural musical history I’ve always been interested in following up on and this has just kickstarted me into doing more research/exploration. I will be sure to check out your contributions to rocktownhall.com.
